I think the BBC has so many bloopers also due to the sheer amount of content they put out. The BBC has national news, 20ish local news areas and so many international news areas. No other single News company puts out more content than the BBC News division.

The best BBC blooper was when a gentleman came to the television centre for an interview for a job, whilst waiting he was ushered into the newsroom whereupon he was interviewed live on camera having been mistaken for a guest discussion on a very serious matter he had know idea what was going on but he handled himself brilliantly. After all that they didn't offer him the positions he was there for. Shame on you BBC😊

As a Brit, I'm not at all surprised at the various reactions - we Brits just love laughing, even on live TV !!!!

The spider wasn't on the camera in the studio. The greenscreen backdrop behind him is a live webcam.

The bbc do have a sense oh humour and a lot more relaxed than most people think. Radio 4 is fantastic for joking around.

Huw Edwards. "If he had a pre-news ritual like taking off his pants". That was unintentionally brilliant.

Lol, Last clip comment, Huw Edwards didn't do anything embarrassing. Now that is a classic blooper.

I love Lemurs, they obviously tried to make sure the animals stayed around the presenter while he did his piece to camera about the zoo. First mistake! Not enough food! You can't promise treats then run out! School boy error 😂 me & my husband did Lemur feeding at our local conservationist zoo and they were amazing, just sat on our knees and took food from our palms, so gentle then sat sunning their bellies! Gorgeous! ❤️😍🇬🇧

If they’d included radio clips, we’d have had the totally infamous spoonerism of “And I’ll be interviewing the Culture Secretary, Jeremy Hunt.” Jim Naughtie swapped the C and H round and said it live to about 300, 000 people just before the 8am news… oops

Huw Edwards last 4 minutes. I remember watching this. It wasn't Huw's fault, he was waiting for a loud "BUM Bum from a bass drum which gave him the mark to start his broadcast. It only came in the last few seconds.

The BBC News theme is the best news theme in the world.

In the 80s, some Lesbians invaded the studio while Nicholas Witchell was reading the 6 o'clock News. I can't remember what they were protesting about, or how they got past Security. We knew something was happening as Nicholas Witchell seemed to be panting and flushed and struggling with something we couldn't see, and we could hear muffled screams. He continued, sitting on top of one of the interlopers to keep her down - but he was obviously struggling with something - and eventually finished his segment. It was weird, wondering what was happening.

There are some snobbish people who expect perfection and full professionalism all of the time, and complain if there isn't, but i love the bloopers, it makes things more down to earth and entertaining.

16:22 Good job it’s Huw Edwards - definitely not the kind of guy to do anything embarrassing.

The number 1 slot with huw bless his soul, I actually was watching love and thought I was hallucinating through lack of sleep but no it was really happening. BBC news bloopers happen mostly at night and early hours as I used to have it on when I worked nights on a low volume to keep track of current events

One blooper not mentioned was in 1987 when weatherman Michael Fish said there was not going to be a hurricane and a viewer phoned in saying one was coming he said no no hurricane, then we had the worst storm in 300 years, killing several people and six million trees, next it took me nearly two hours to get to work, usually 30 minutes, I thought my roof was going to come off . Not really a blooper but embarrassing. JH

If only Huw had remembered never to do anything embarrassing in front of a camera, like take his pants off 😱

Muppet in UK is a slang term for some one who is ignorant or clueless ( Also a puppet show featuring Kermit and miss Piggy )

Time flies man. Already over a year since you started this channel. One year for the Canada channel tomorrow and one year for the Norway channel next week. Someone should make a quiz of all the things you've learned about these three countries and see how much you remember.
