The Treaty of Bassein (Now called Vasai) was a pact signed on 31 December 1802 between the British East India Company and Baji Rao II, in India after the Battle of Poona. [ *3* ] CVC should not be the monitoring authority of CBI as it is purely gov appointed body, so indirectly the special empowered committee for appointment
[ *4* ] If all the employee of CBI can keep themselves away from any political tussles, who else can interfere then.
