Turns are probably the hardest things for me 😭

No matter how much skill the ballet dancers born with, it's all about the work. It's all about the time spent in the studio. It's all about the repetition and the repetition and the repetition. Some are blessed with certain skills and certain attributes that make them appealing as dancers, but no one is successful who doesn't work very very hard. This entire family proves that. Hard work is the homework of this family, and the youngest girl in the family shows that undoubtedly.

Best thing I’ve seen to try and describe that practice is what creates results not talent. Saying someone is talented or lucky is demeaning to the hard work they’ve had to put in to get there

You do realize when people say "oh you're so lucky to spin/draw/dance/sing/etc" they mean it as a compliment because either they can't do it themselves or they find it hard to do while you make it seem flawless. At least that's how my brain interprets it.

I do hate it when people say lucky (as a level 5 gymnast) but sometimes they cant like if they are injured or handicap, or say they have a muscular disability that you might not be able to see i have a shoulder and spinal cord injury that causes a inflamed and pulled muscle that you cant see and also one side of my hip is higher than the other (i discovered it in 2021). So next time, please dont get mad at those people even if it makes you frustrated

In ballet, nothing is luck, only hard work

I hate when people say its "luck" when it is skill 😢❤

It reminds me of when people say „You’re so lucky to draw like that!“ or „I wish I could play that instrument!“. Bro you can. Just practice like I’ve done for years. You got this!

Respectfully some people don’t have the privileges going to a dance studio or being able to turn so I would honestly be grateful that you can

I’m a beginner in ballet(11tyears old) and we just started point shoes and I can barely stand on them without the bar.
I wish I will become as good as you 😃

This TikTok reminds me to keep practicing for consistency to get better at something.

I think theyre talking bout having the privilege to be fortunate enough to 1, have the money to be in ballet which is very expensive and ot everyone get to do, especially not at such a young age and for such a long time and 2, have the ability to do ballet and make it LOOK so easy even if its not

It’s lucky you even got the chance to learn ballet, and that choice can determine your whole mindset. I did ballet for 7 years, before I had to quit due to scoliosis. Don’t feel bad if you see dancers better than you, you’re so talented and I’m sure you’ll reach your dream one day.

Ballet is probably one of the hardest things I have seen that look easy.. God bless you all and your loved ones❤

No I just hate it when people say “lucky” for something that’s a relent because most things take practice, work, strength, willingness, PRACTICE, and a LOT of time to master. It’s not just some “luck”
