APR Presents the Audi S5 4.2L FSI V8 Stage 3+ TVS1740 Supercharger System!

In the factory form, Audi's S5 4.2L FSI V8 leaves much to be desired compared to recent models proudly displaying the S badge. The APR Stage III+ TVS1740 Supercharger System fills the void by adding an average of roughly 45% more horsepower and torque across the entire power band. The results are nothing short of amazing; taking the S5 from 353 horsepower to 589 horsepower on pump fuel and 635 on race fuel without breaking a sweat! With up to 542 FT-LBS on tap thanks to the TVS1740's positive displacement supercharger, expect instant acceleration with absolutely no lag commonly associated with other forms of forced induction.

You guys need to look around...the cheapest you'll find an RS5 for, used, is around $60 grand. Meanwhile, a used S5 can be had for around mid-30s(low 20's if you're gutsy enough to buy it.). Tack on this kit for 16, 500 ~~ close to 50k all in. So you do save some money. But how much money is APR going to make if the prices are outside of what the majority of consumers consider are worth it. And I agree, for that price it should at least include the requisite fuel lines. That's just being cheap, APR.

I did 10.54 in my auto with this Tvs1740 with APR HPFP upgrade, I had a Custom TCU and ECU tune on the car.

That S5 in Australia was like $150, 000 and RS 5 was $200, 000, with APR Australian distributors sell the supercharger kit for $23000. WIth all that money, I would rather go for a brand new 4.0TT S6/S7 or even AMGs for more fun.

What modifications are needed to have a supercharger installed on a tiptronic auto?

Hello!
I am having an Audi S5 4.2 FSI with 6 speed manual gearbox, and I am wondering how are you starting this car with no gear troubles? With my stock car I need to change clutch any 3-4 starts, and if I make a few more I should change also the flywheel. At last I put ceramic clutch and titanium flywheel but the car gone hard for heavy traffic driving.

What kind of exhaust setup did y'all use?

I doubt they will sell more than three of those...this should be 50% off the advertised price

APR, the correct terminology is "lb-ft", not ft-lbs kiddies. There is quite a difference.

Damn, was looking into this for the S5 I just bought but this costs more than my purchase price. These days you can buy a used one for less than this price.

Edit: I hear this is discontinued?

Can someone from your facility contact me about a tune?

589 hp on pump gas? Can the rear end/clutch handle that abuse in the long run or will modifications be necessary shortly after this supercharger upgrade?

I'd happily shell out the $ for a low 11 second S5 as long as its not an engine killer. Would also like to video of a top end pull.

Will this charger fit my 2007 Audi A8 4.2 FSI?

Is this still available? I'd kill for this kit on my S5 lol

How will the engine and transmission handle that extra power and torque in the long term?I mean, that supercharger almost doubles the power and torque, so it has to affect reliability.
