I have had an osprey and a few kingfishers come after topwater this year. Definitely have to pay attention to your lure when they're around!

The last time I went out there were 2 Osprey that were relentless. One crashed down and smashed a 6" soft swimbait and sunk it's talons into it and shredded it. The other kept following me around and diving on a frog almost every cast.

I had this happen with a grebe. It was a distance from the money hound I was using, but it dove and then blooped to the surface right by the bait. He was eyeballing it hard, but I yanked it away as fast as I could. Gotta be careful.

I had this happen with a rapala broken An owl that I did not see was in the tree along the river and came swooping down on it and I had to retrieve it real quick because I knew I was going to snag that owl😮

When I was a teenager I was fishing a a big group of ducks can paddling by. I thought “what if I put a big ball of worm on my hook and cast right in front of them, I’m sure they won’t bite it but let’s try” needless to say I hooked a fucking duck and those guys freak out when you catch them so I had to cut the line wasn’t going to wrestle a duck. I looked up and there was an old guy that was watching the whole thing and he was just laughing at me. About 10 minutes after a game warden shows up and goes “anyone here catch a duck” I look at the game warden the look at the old man and the old man goes “I haven’t seen anything” then winks at me. Idk who you are old dude but thanks for not ratting on me for my stupid shit XD needless to say don’t catch ducks kids
