Anti-abortion has ALWAYS been about controlling women's sexuality. Pregnacy was the ultimate penalty for sex, so being allowed to just opt out of pregnancy was a method of control gone.

Reproductive rights, rights to privacy, the right to vote, bodily autonomy as well as financial/property autonomy has always been about the control of women.

It has never been about the sanctity of life, if they were truly PRO-Life they wouldn't be trying to starve kids, depriving them of healthcare, defund their educations and shove them back into fields and factories instead of sending them to daycare. All of which wouldn't be needed in the first place if work places were required to pay their employees a decent wage and humane work hours and were taxed at a reasonable rate.

Honestly, I don't think he was ever personally opposed to abortion. He's just opposed to not winning. He'll say whatever he thinks is gonna get him votes. And this issue is way too complex for him to understand any part of it.

Just a reminder, but there is one solution to Trump's flip-flopping causing the Republican party to do back flips to try to stay on his good side: vote blue from the top of the ballot to the bottom in November. Although I have to admit, it's kind of fun watching the Republicans shove each other out of the way to perform their best back flip.
