I love watching you sew on your high level machine. I have a hearty Huskvarnya....it gets the job done. And your explanations and sewing descriptions are very calming...thank you!

Thank you for directions for face have made several hundred face masks using chenille stems for nose piece, but like this way. I also like being able to adjust elastic to fit the person. Love all the info on the template, so glad I found this by Shabby Fabric. Good

I"ve been making face masks for family but I was never satisfied that the fit was totally safe (too many gaps for my taste). I appreciate you using the creative grid (I wondered about that), the pony beads and the new way of using the bar cover. Now that the vaccinations are here. These masks will get even used during flu season. Thank you, thank you!

I like this option! One of the people I’ve made masks for has broken many of the nose pieces, and I’ve been replacing them, but I really like being able to just slide the broken nose piece out, and slide a new one in place.

Hi Jen, Thank you so much for this update on placing the nose bar so it can be replaced. I am so happy. I have one more tiny suggestion. During the washing the bar may "still" have the mind to slip out. How about taking off the adhesive strip using an exacto just for about the last 1/4th or 1/2 inch of it near the opening. I think it would still be able to be removed if needed for replacement but be extra secure during wearing and washing. What do you think?

As an alternative to Gypsy Face Bars, I've had good results in the past using a 6" piece of pipe cleaner (they come 12", so I get two masks using just one!), and they're soft in the "tunnel" and mold easily to the bridge of your nose! Before inserting, be sure to tuck in, and crimp, the small wire ends by using needlenose plyers...the end bends real easy and stays tucked! Never had to replace one yet and wash just fine!

sent tip about nose bar fabric on outside of back inside fabric mask. found out it's easier to sew the mask without the elastics then when you top stitch having both sides open slip in the elastic and when you sew the sides stitch and back stitch over where you inserted elastics found having the elastic bunched inside a hastle. utilized a video on one of tim tottens yube tube video and inserted and sewed the elastic into the masks when i topped stitched.

I love your mask videos! In this video, it looks like the nose bar channel fabric piece is placed on the pointed area with the raw edge facing up. Is there an advantage to this or can the raw edge face down as well? Thank you!

It's so nice to see Jen feeling relaxed in front of the camera. I remember her earlier videos where she looked like a deer caught in the headlights. It made me chuckle. Thanks for this tute, Jen! I will watch it again later while at my sewing machine.

I have been doing the extra nose bars when I sew for family. I have been doing the nose channel since last October.

How is it that straight pins can leave holes that introduce germs but not sewing needle holes? It just doesn’t make sense to me.
