I have lived in Shrewsbury my whole life, I didn't know about this river until I moved to monkmoor last year. Love a walk around here, especially with the dog. If you carry on around and follow the river towards atcham there are more beaches.

Have you tried the Sundorne side opposite. Down the old canal and then into the old sewerage farm (now a nature reserve and picnic area) and along the river to Pymley Manor. Beautiful...or it was when I left 🙂
