The Rookie is an American police procedural television series created by Alexi Hawley for ABC. The series stars Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin Jr., Melissa O'Neil, Afton Williamson, Mekia Cox, Shawn Ashmore, and Eric Winter.

It follows John Nolan, a man in his forties, who becomes the oldest rookie at the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). It is based on real-life LAPD officer William Norcross, who moved to Los Angeles in 2015 and joined the department in his mid-40s.

One night many years ago, I was in a Las Vegas casino when I noticed several security guards were surrounding a young skinny guy acting strange near the blackjack tables. The kid took on six security guards and sent four of them to the hospital. It was later discovered he was on PCP. it was amazing to see how strong and fast he was even though he wasn't that big.

In 1973 a bunch of us watched a normal size guy high on PCP rip a huge thick telephone book in half...then destroy a plastic telephone into tiny pieces. Then he picked up a hospital BED above his head and threw it at the 6th floor window..which kind of shivered..but didn't break. Thats the night i found out that mental hospitals made special hospital calls with special teams.

I’m 53 years old! I remember in elementary school they show us an anti/drug film of a man like this on PCP and he was like the HULK fighting like 10 police officers 👮 we all said we wanted to try it when we got older 😂 none of us did though
