I think my problem with Lisas current presents is that she is JUST a Performer. She is not an artist but a performer. Focusing on dance, stage presence and unauthetic songs that give a It-girl Vibe. Especially in comparison to jennie and rosie it seems very performative and unauthentic. Like its created for her to become famous not created from her to express something.

Her biggest problem is over exposure without the talent to back it up.

Like she had no business being at oscars but she was which did more harm to her than favors, and many places like that.

I think her lack of understanding of cultural context and insufficient English language proficiency contributed to her being cringey. She sticks to being cute to compensate for her inability to show the depth of her personality as she can’t use language to its full extent. Jennie and Rosé, on the other hand, are able to communicate themselves, their ideas, motivation behind their personalities, they can speak on complex topics, can make more witty jokes etc, therefore they tend to be perceived more easily and, of course, more serious by western audience. And we also have Jisoo, who understands that there objective limits to her promotions in the west, so she sticks to what she does best - excelling in South Korean media space

I think it got to her head when people used to say she was the best performer of Blackpink. She thought she could become the next main pop girl in the west and leave the group. She wasn’t counting on people not liking lip singing over here and actually wanting good lyrics . She was used to random kpop songs being thrown to devoted stans who blindly accept anything. Now she’s seeing that because she doesn’t have the singing talent or a unique identity, it’s going to be a struggle for her to build a singing career outside of Asia.

What lacks her music is depth! She only sings about herself. At the beginning this concept was empowering and highlighted her confidence, which was great. But this is getting old. Now it's giving self-obsessed and arrogant vibes. Such a pity.

As a person who has followed blackpink closely for quite some time, I can confirm that I never had high expectations from Lisa's album, it was clear from the very beginning even during her time in blackpink that she was always more of a performer or dancer and never truly an artist or had any passion for music. Over the years, her cult like fans managed to push the narrative of her being the most successful KPOP idol, which she was but just for some time when her target audience were mostly kpop fans only, who were trying to live their dreams through her and could relate to her personality. But as all of the members stepped into their solo careers, trying to reach into the western market, what was really needed is true artistry that Lisa terribly failed to deliver, her team doesn't understand her niche because I think even Lisa herself doesn't understand it. She has no vision and a desperate need to be accepted in the western industry & by her fans. Also it's baffling when people say that they were surprised by Jennie's or Rosé's albums because anyone who really knows these girls can tell you that both these members have always been very passionate about music and constantly expressed the same. I am personally very happy to see Jennie's success because all these years I've seen the general public undermine her worth, some even saying she would leave music and pursue fashion which like, girl?!? But Jennie has finally delivered, showing us a clear picture of what she is and capable of. Even Jisoo with her mini album was the one who genuinely shocked me, her b-sides are so good infact she was the one who was being truly sabotaged by her company. Lastly, I do think this was only the beginning for the girls, some of them managed to deliver greatly and some didn't, I hope they can all learn from their experiences and continue to put out good music.

Lisa is not a true artist, her music is empty and bland, it lacks depth and actual meaning. It's like she doesn't know what to do without a given musical direction, I hope she proves me wrong in the future but so far she's not a true artist, it's more of an influencer making music.
