Is there Too Much FLINCH in Modern Warfare III? (+ Marksman Glove Breakdown)

Modern Warfare III has several methods of reducing the amount of flinch you experience when shot as well as attachments that can increase the amount of flinch you deal to enemies. Today, I take a deep look at the flinch mechanics in the game to see just how impactful it can be. What are your thoughts on the state of flinch and flinch resistance in MWIII?

In MW2 most good attachments would cripple your ADS speed but in MW3 I noticed some good attachments hurt your flinch resistance and other stats. Might be an odd way to balance the game but its better than everything slowing your gun down

Ace, you should check hollow point ammo. It feels insanely strong in this game. I feel it gives stun effect even whem shooting chest or something. Maybe a good idea for a video because hollow point use is already rampant in the game and it's horrible. Great vídeo on the flinch, as usual

Speaking on flinch… hollow point ammunition has been a nightmare in brazilian lobbies, making it almost impossible to win gun fights when multiple enemies are using them. I think it would turn out to be a good analysis video!

ACE PLEASE LOOK AT HOLLOW POINT ROUNDS THEY MAKE YOU FLINCH WORSE THAN OVERPRESSURIZED

It is crazy, that one sniper that takes 3 business days to aim is horrible because of that, by the time you finally aim at them they shot you and your scope goes 10 meters into the sky

Every time Ace says "Overpressured +P" it's like he's saying "FPS Shooter" or a more accurate example would be to say "Armor Piercing AP" - my point being that it's redundant. +P rounds are the shorthand name for those like AP or HV rounds.

I think the Marksman gloves need a buff a bit on the flinch and a fix on the sway to actually work as proper. Other than that I think they have kept the balancing pretty decent so far on everything in general, though I'm curious on how the new ammo types affect the game in general. Based on what I have used (High grain and tracer) they seem to be good and not game breaking help a lot to give versatility to your classes

I just unlocked the Marksman Gloves yesterday and I can’t say I notice much of a difference.

Nobody talks about hollow points? Ace, please, do a video about it, in Brazil lobies, everybody uses it, its impossible to challenge a player with hollow points face to face. You aim goes totally up

Bro, you should sell merch or even a Patreon. I never give streamers money or “donate” to YouTubers but you deserve it and I’d buy a hat or shirt. You’re the best person on YouTube. You don’t do cringe bullshit or oversell yourself. You let your content speak for itself. You’ve made me so much better at CoD over the years. Obviously don’t know you, but you seem like a chill dude. You deserve all your success.

Hey Ace, many people are curious about the Hollowpoint rounds, but I'd like to also see a comparison of Frangible, Hollowpoint, and the new AET rounds brought to the MW3 pistols of how they affect player visibility and flinch.

These AET rounds have both the wounding and crippling properties of the Frangible and Hollowpoint rounds respectively but seem to be weaker in both regards while sharing the same chevron amount compared to the other ammunitions.

Overpressured hurts you more than helps. Since people aim chest level, it’ll make them hit accidental headshots on ya more frequently (not talking about snipers rn, obviously overpressured is a good counter to those)

totally agree that it's a great design choice to have flinch be minimal for regular guns, but a big factor for snipers. It also stops flinch reducing effects being absolute crutches like in past games. positive all round.

4:32 This is so annoying, how have they managed to make so many of the perk effects so useless or broken? The sway effect is the main reason I wanted to run these gloves and it does nothing.

Does feel like the gloves should have a noticeable effect on sway if it says that's what they do.

I'm kinda curious about attachments that decrease your own flinch resist, like no stock, and how impactful those are.

ive found more than ever Im running flinch resist gear. Whether it be the perk or a grip or both.
On MNK you really need it to stay on target. When i play controller its much less of an issue due to AA.

SHG really need to have a rundown of all the perks and some attachments. Most of the perks don't work correctly, they have inaccurate descriptions

I think the marksman gloves could use a slight buff. The flinch res it gives is just fine, but the sway could be better.

As someone who primarily uses a sniper I find that that flinch can be a bit rough sometimes. If I try and go for a long range kill by hard scoping I'm always getting shot before I can even pull the trigger because the enemy can see my scope glint from across the map and aim assist just allows them to lock on to me to where I cant get that long range kill because my scope keeps flying up in the air. And this is happening all within seconds btw so i'm not just sitting in a builing camping while hardscoping. I scope in at all and i'm instantly being shot at before I even see where the bullets came from at times.
