What I Learned from Scam Loss (After Traveling Every Country)

I've always been a solo traveler and visited 192 countries solo, never lost anything in my travel. This time i traveled with a friend and was helping out... unfortunately I got into a #scam and lost everything during my trip in Valparaiso, #Chile! I went to police station, and exposed this theft and scammer to you all in this video.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You're only human. You been to 190 countries and all that time, you done really well protecting yourself. Your a smart woman who made a lot of money previously in your job. Your life is good. I know other youtuber who lost even more money, while traveling. You also made all the right moves by contacting your bank quickly (very smart.)

Some woman recently got scammed by IA Brad Pitt for $850, 000. You only lost $2, 000, so you did really well. You learnt your lesson, so now you need to forgive yourself and move on. Enjoy life again. It's good you are sharing your stories, as you can work through your emotions, maybe meet some friends and talk about your bad experiences with them. Hopefully you go back to enjoying life again, when you feel better

Life has ups and downs and whatever doesnt kill u will make u stronger. Material processions arent permanent so dont place too much attachments to it. U control your brain and mind so dont let emotions and material attachments rule your mind and your life. Everyone has walls around their thinking and mind, its how u recognize and deal with it that makes u stronger.

I understand the emotional trauma in losing things coming from a careful and paranoid person. Take a step back and deep breaths, money lost can certainly be earned back. Although you lost precious memories and time in this incident, you gained new wisdom and experience, and further expanded on your travel experience, something the thieves most likely would not be able to ever experience in their lifetimes. The thing is when you travel with someone, you tend to let your guard down and make compromises on how you travel. I also like to travel alone, especially when I'm on a budget and trying to do a lot. Don't beat yourself up more. I hope your next update on the case is a rewarding one. Take care!

From my experience, everyone will get scammed in this life. We can try try to avoid it, but it still will happen. We live in a world full of scams. Gods in control.

Being scammed can happen anywhere in this planet besides in Chile. There are always desperate & unscrupulous people who are looking out soft targets to cheat and steal. Foreign tourists are perceived well-off as they can afford to come to visit their country. Felt sorry for you. We have learn a lesson from you. I know how you feel. My phone was stolen from my bag in JB. I will not trivialize your feelings by saying "get over it soon". After years later, i kinda still blame myself for being so stupid. Take care my friend...

When you visit certain countries, you are actually risking your life, money and your belongings. Only visit countries that are safe. No point trying to set personal record of number of countries visited.
