Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - How to defeat Odin easily

I got a lot of people in the comments of my videos complaining that defeating Odin requires being good at parries, so I decided to make this to show that you do not actually need to parry at all.

The strategy here is to simply block attacks to build vengeance gauge, then go in vengeance mode immediately and use Retaliation. Odin never uses reprisal against Retaliation. Rinse and repeat. If you get low on health, use Chakra to heal. When Odin gets staggered, use Reaper Touch if you're low on health, otherwise use Sidewinder.

Don't forget to use your limit break when Odin starts casting Temporal Imprisonment. You'll be guaranteed to have it with all the blocking you'll be doing.

I was getting frustrated with how the other guides were too complicated and not working for me.

Even though I died the first time using your strategies, i knew this was the method that would work for me since i finally made progress with his gettinf his health down.

It was just a matter of learning his patterns, and after a few attempts i finally killed him. On to gilgamesh and his island.

This method still took 3 hours of practice, but it got the job done. It was a skin of the teeth thing, though. I took him out with a last second Sidewinder as he was firing off his One Hit Kill Bullshit Supermove because AI RNG decided to string two unblockable moves together that i had to dodge rather than block while needing ATB.
