I have, incidentally had an encounter with evil though. Someone unwilling to put forth the effort to live, who existed on the premise that if he only refused to provide for himself someone would come along to do it for him.
Why would they do this? Because it's cold, was his answer.
I answered him in kind, shortly later when I turned him out of my house in the early morning. I had never felt such horror as when I accepted that I hadn't misunderstood what he was saying. Part of me wished I could keep him in a petri dish for observation, and to prove his existence to those who might not believe me.
He claimed to be without volition, though he had no problem with taking things he wanted. He was consistent enough to override any expressed desire when I pointed one out to him, though.
