GOP Senators Question U.S. Attorney General Garland Over Threat to Justices, Hunter Biden | News18
Senate Republicans from the Judiciary Committee grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland on different cases involving the Justice Department during a hearing in Washington on Wednesday (March 1).

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz confronted Garland over the Justice Department's response to protesters in the wake of the leak of the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision.

National protests erupted after a draft version of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs was leaked, and again after the court issued its ruling.

Cruz questioned Garland on the Justice Department's response to protests near the homes of Supreme Court judges in the wake of the overturning of Roe v Wade.

Cruz accused Garland of "doing nothing" and not bringing protesters to trial.

Garland said the Justice Department defended the lives of Supreme Court justices with protection from U.S. Marshals.
