BUILDING A BAR

Today I decided to start 2025 off with a project and started building a little bar in my dining room

GO GIRL!! I was smiling and laughing at you (in a good way) all the way through this video because you reminded me of my younger self! I have no patience and no filter and I cannot stop myself from doing things on my own when I want something done. I drive my husband insane with this habit because I will tackle a major project in a heart beat while he’s working if I want it done and he’s unable to take time off work to make it happen. I kid you not, the guys at Home Depot don’t even bother to try to help me load anymore because they know by now that I will just do it myself……. mostly because it takes too long to wait for them. Plus, I find it hilarious that my husband will ask me where something is at Lowe’s instead of customer service because he knows it’s my favorite store on the planet and I’m there just about every day….a lot of times, for hours!

Anyhoosy Whoosy, I love what you’re doing!! It looks great. Totally keep us updated and we’ll for sure be watching.

Love it! I live in Tulsa too. Our home is 77 years old and the floors are ridiculously wavy. I just did RTA cabinets to create built-ins in our mudroom. Shims are life. Shims and spending thousands on replacing old wooden joists in the crawl space. 😭

Wine rack belongs on top between shelving. To make it more proportional. An glass rack on either side. Good project.

If you have a seam and some nerve you could make it go together like two giant jigsaw puzzle pieces 🧩 and make a feature out of the seam. I plan on doing that with my new oak kitchen countertops in each corner and seam.
