Thomas Edison antique radio demonstration

Demonstration of a 1929 Edison console radio. This is model R5 along with 7R. This radio was made by Thomas Edison's radio company that he dabbled in for a time. Yes - the same Thomas Edison that invented the light bulb and the phonograph. There are two chassis for this radio. One is the power supply and the other is the radio signal amplification. It's quite a beast! There are only 3 controls - on/off, tuning, volume. Sounds darn fine...
