How Einstein's brain was stolen (true story!)

Albert Einstein may have died in 1955, but for his brain, that was only the very beginning. This is the crazy story of the most famous heist of all time - the literal theft of his brain.

What I don't get is why, once he had access to the brain, he didn't immediately consult a neurologist or the literature to find out how to preserve it. He must have known he was now in hot water with the medical community and it would make sense that he would want to protect his golden egg.

Interesting, I never knew this. So sad that this was done against Einstein’s wishes by someone looking to use his body to make his own legacy. Reminds me of Henrietta Lacks and HeLa cells

😔How awful Einstein & his family were treated with such little respect & it went against Everyone's wishes. 🤔Does it diminish me as a person that I'm Really Glad "Dr." Harvey lost his Wife, Job/Position, Medical License - And ended up a Factory Worker? Cause I Totally am (I'm not dissing factory workers, but for a so-called "man" trying to make his mark on History, it's a fitting comedown). I mean, I'm interested in what snippets of information the Real doctors were able to glean from the samples, but Wow, what a Travesty.

Dr. Harvey just wanted clout and money for his "research".

this wasn't science so much as it was confirmation bias. So sad, in every way. Most of all the fact his wishes were not honored.
