The first half lived up to the hype, but the answers to the mystery/the ending to the movie was kind of disappointing to me tbh.

This is the kind of movie you have go into open minded and allow to wash over you. I got goosebumps at least in two separate instances while watching it in the theater!

I’m a hardcore and desensitized horrror fan who can’t really get scared anymore…

This movie chilled me to the bone. I was sweating and my nerves were tense the entire time. I can’t think of any movie that’s affected me that much.

I think psychological terror is definitely scarier for some than others because the feelings & imagery lingers more than a typical straight on “jumpscare horror film”. So for me idk I definitely wasn’t terrified but that mental dread & some of the imagery was chilling.

I think the less you know about the movie the better. I went in avoiding the trailer & reviews so I was literally surprised by everything.

Dread is the perfect word for this film. Dread and unease

It stuck with me. When I walked out of the theater, I felt like I had just woken from a weird dream

I absolutely loved this film. I understand that a certain faction of society will not. Well worth the price of admission for the ride

I think there is a difference between true horror and scares. It has a few jump scares but not over the top. Imo it's the type of horror that sticks with you and gets scarier the more you think on it. Not unlike most of Hitchcocks work. It stays with you long after the credits roll. I really enjoyed it. (Hardcore horror fan speaking)

There are 2 or 3 terrific jump scares, but it's the sound design that makes them work. Definitely not cheap scares.

Looking forward to watching this soon myself.

Thanks Jeff.

I hate to say but it did not live up to my expectations at all.

It was good, it wasn't great. I didn't mind the hype. I didn't mind Nic Cage's typical overperforming. It sets itself up as a sophisticated detective thriller and then REALLY underdelivers for me.

my man was asleep on my shoulder the whole movie and i was kinda mad i wasted that time watching the movie instead of sleeping. it was in fact, snooze worthy.

Agreed agreed...the more you think about it, it was darn scary and a rewatch would be great...have yet to go again but worth it. It's crazy...it's was a solid 7 but the more I thought about it and all the purposeful naunces, and soundtrack/effects...it became a strong 9 or 9.5 even. Cinematography and sounds brought such an unsettling atmosphere. Definitely a slow burn that makes ypu think and piece together

This is a great way of putting it

Being raised in the 90’s, I can completely understand wanting another “Se7en” or “Silence of the Lambs”

Do *not* go into this w/an “expectation” (one never should)

Let this story unravel naturally; do that & it’s cruel, twisted “checkmate” situation hits all the harder

Absolutely right ✅️. I'm used to horror...handle them with no problems. When I went home after watching this....every time I dozed off...I woke up immediately 😅. It was on my mind all night

Enjoyed this last weekend even though the cinema I chose was rubbish. Have booked to watch it again at a flagship cinema this weekend in between two performances of Deadpool & Wolverine in IMAX with Laser GT (3D then 2D) on the UK’s widest screen (26.5m). LFG! 😎

I saw it last night .. loved it . I'm glad it wasn't a blood gore fest, definitely more a psychological film, definitely got in your head . Amazing performances as well . Loved the soundtrack, I have that on pre order.

I saw Long legs. I was disappointed. It wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be. The ending was the best part of the whole movie.

Completely agree! The setting is incredible, it is dense and oppressive.
