Some details of this video.
To provide some context for this video, the incident occurred while the car driver was driving home from the hospital with his newborn infant. As he entered Mangammanapalya road near HSR Layout, he encountered heavy traffic, resulting in a bumper-to-bumper situation. Suddenly, an auto from the left abruptly entered my lane and slammed on the brakes. Given the slow-moving traffic, he had no time to react and his front bumper lightly made contact with the rear of the auto.

Unfortunately, instead of calmly resolving the situation, the auto driver reacted aggressively, causing significant damage to the vehicle. Shockingly, he proceeded to verbally abuse his family, and even his defenseless infant, as evident in the distressing video footage.

Driven by the traumatic experience, he immediately went to the police station that very night to file a First Information Report (FIR). However, to his dismay, the police decided to call the auto driver for a compromise rather than filing the FIR. Despite his strong stance against a compromise, emphasizing the safety of his family, the police dismissed the incident as a miscellaneous occurrence and claimed that filing an FIR would be ineffective. They insisted that the car driver return to the station multiple times over the next two days, citing the unavailability of higher-ranking officers to process the FIR, while simultaneously arranging compromises with the auto driver.

The car driver later discovered that the auto driver responsible for the chaos and the damage to my vehicle is, in fact, a BMTC bus driver in Bangalore. Fearing the potential consequences, both the driver and the union members pressured me to withdraw his complaint. This experience shattered his confidence in the police's commitment to justice. Consequently, he is sharing this video online in the hope that it reaches the appropriate authorities who can hold the police accountable for their failure to file the FIR and take necessary action against the BMTC bus driver who caused harm to his family and vehicle.

I kindly request you watch the video in its entirety and share it on social media, amplifying its reach. Together, let us raise our voices against injustice.

I just saw this video. I’m an advocate in Bangalore. The driver can file a private complaint before a magistrate even now. Happy to help.

The rickshaw drivers in Bengaluru are the most arrogant and aggressive people. I feel sorry for you to go through all that all while having an infant in the car. It seemed like he escalated the situation for a really small mishap.

I have lived in Bangalore for a number of years and as beautiful as the city is, the auto drivers and bus conductors are some of the most corrupt people out there. This is where Mumbai differentiates itself. At the level of the common man, there is rampant corruption in Bangalore.

The moment he broke the mirror and the windshield of the car, my blood boiled and hope I wasn't in the driver's place that patience shown👏🏼

Police in Bangalore are extremely corrupt. Every complaint is an opportunity to make money for them. They don't care who is offender and who is victim.. They might mislead saying he is bus driver, so your complaint gets rejected. He was driving auto, not bus. Remember that

Ban these auto rickshaws and half of the traffic jam hotspots will get better, the roads will certainly become safe and there will be a decline in road rage.

Being a North Indian, I used to be extra careful on roads in Bangalore. I had seen a teenager local boy slap an old hindi speaking man on the road, and no one could help the old uncle. He kept shouting at him to talk in Kannada and then slapped the poor old fellow.
Guys be extra careful on roads if you do not know the local dialect. At times even the police doesn't help. You are totally on your own if you do slightest mistake around an angry local

When I came to Bangalore in 2001 it was a calm place to live and people were decent . It has become totally different since few years particularly after 2010. Arrogance, Corruption and Crime has become very high. It is not only with Transport Drivers. U can see it every where. Recently I saw a Scooty guy abused a Woman on Scooty. Then when she abused back (both were Kannadigas) he hit her with his helmet. One factor is - it has become too crowded and People have flocked in here from every part of the country for livelihood. People hyped Bangalore too much.

Its no more a hidden fact that Police and Auto unions are hand and gloves. Or else, one auto rickshaw driver wont have so much guts to behave like "gundaas" in the streets of Bangalore. Wishing for a better administration in Bangalore, for peaceful stay of common people.

Remember, always call 100 the police control room first then, even if they deny you the FIR you can always drag the police man to the court, then you can file the FIR under property damage and attempt to assault and battery. You did the right thing but not getting out of the vehicle, had you been with some friends you should have beaten that low life.

You can file a complaint in court if the police station refused to file it. Not sure about it but get a lawyer and seek advice regarding it .

Very sad and unfortunate incident. Police and auto unions are hand in glove in Mumbai as well. Autos need to be banned. And stricter RTO norms should be welcomed. Moreover, police too to be held responsible for motivating such crimes.

Though I am not from Bengaluru, I have kept a can of pepper spray. If the threat level increases, use your vehicle as a weapon to safeguard you and your family., even if it means hitting the auto with your car and driving to the nearest police station.
