great explanation, one thing I would add on the Csus4/F is that you can pull your thumb over the f(something Merle Travis did quite a bit throughout his playing), it takes a little practice but eliminates the unnatural stretching of the original and gives you the same chord

For the Csus4/F you could also use your thumb for the base chord, instead of that crazy stretch.

Good job. First online lesson I've seen that's gotten this song right. Thanks.

there is a way to stretch your fingers to make them abit wider to place your fingers correctly on the chords. 1. If you can crack your fingers, please do cause it will be easier. 2. Place your palm carefully between each finger and start slowly pressing down, if it hurts stop and do the others.

It also helped already knowing songs like "Dust in the Wind"... if you know that it's pretty easy. Just a few different chords

My T-picking is down cold. I own it.

That said, this is the best description/explanation of HOW to learn it I have seen yet. I wish I had this tutorial like eight years ago. It was a bitch to figure it out on my own.

The way he plays the Csus4/F is the way you have it but he uses 2nd finger for the low F and 1st finger for the C. Just switch the way you are doing it. It’s a little hard but gets easier with practice. To make it even easier, you can tune low E to D and just adjust fingering, but in bridge you still have to get 2nd finger on the B flat while using 1st finger on the C. Hard at first but gets easier. For me, in the bridge, if I get my 4th finger on the F early, coming off the D just a little early, it is easier to get my 2nd finger on the B flat. You kind of have to roll your 2nd finger over a little to cleanly get both the low Fs and the B flats. At first I was discouraged but it’s becoming easier. When he plays it live in the AOL Sessions video, he makes it look effortless. Somebody may have already clarified this in the comments so I am sorry if this is a reiteration. Keep up the good work.

You've helped me out in other lessons, but you really need to go over the picking pattern for this one.

Those who think she's a better teacher... it's because you are a real beginner and require more instruction. This video is meant for those with some experience.
