I've just purchased my first 3D printer and I find your guides really good.
Have you ever tried glas blasted glas (frosted)? I think the rough surface might be enough for the sticking to work.

Hi Frank, do take a look at FR4 or FR2. I print PLA on FR4 and it has a very good adhesion from the start. To improve the adhesion, I do some careful and soft wipes with 120 or 180 grit sandpaper and wipe it down with cloth and isopropanol or similar. Pros: It is cheap, works with a lot of materials without any kind of glue sticks or similar. Cons would be that it may warp through the heated bed but you can counter it through flipping and it will bend in the other direction.

I've seen the zebra plate printing the hardest of filaments, petg, abs, nylon and even Polycarbonate!!! without but it's relatively expensive yeah, that's the drawback, but if you can afford it you can print any material you wish

Do build tak stickiness get worn out? After using it for a lot of prints it’s starting to get dirty and one day it just stopped sticking so when the extruder turns a corner it just moves along or is the nozzle to far away from the bed? Gonna replace it anyways

The PRINTinZ site says their flexible bed doesn't help correct a warped bed. I have the Mini v2 and like many my bed is warped. Do you know a reputable site where I could find a borosilicate plate?

do you try with mirror? some people say it a good surface but i never try it, i have a machine without hot bed and i use tape but y need to change every time... i think i try the buidtack
