Number of attempts of stimulation in IVF. Now this is a very difficult situation for some people where repeated IVF failures happen. So how safe is the repeated IVF? See each time when a stimulation happens the hormone goes to high levels and then it drops down again. Generally we would never recommend any person to undergo more than six cycles of conventional IVF Cycles provided there is no previous family history of breast cancer or genital cancer or if there are any blood clotting factors deficiency. So these are the people who they have to be careful in multiple IVF stimulation. I understand that having a baby is important for everyone but at this particular time when you are undergoing IVF cycles every everything seems okay but then number of stimulations and number of egg pickups that you undergo definitely has some effect in the future. Suppose if you are predisposed for genital cancers and with so much of stimulation of IVF more than six cycles or seven cycles or eight cycles of IVF egg pick up what I mean as there are certain risk factors like cancer especially ovarian cancer in future life. So people who have undergone more than seven, eight, nine, ten times of egg pickup they have to be very careful in the future. Get their examination done frequently to pick up anything that is going to be abnormal. Having a baby is one of the aim but at the same time it should not ruin your health and the future consequences of repeated IVF stimulation. But IVF doses the medications what we use is very minimal and it is within the safe limit but it should not be done to extremes.
