I'm going to sell our current home and build our new home myself, or rather be the builder. I am experienced with many good subs in my files. You save almost 40% that way.

I live in Everett WA. For constructing a 1500 square feet home is about 150k. Plus 50k for land (total 200k)
Buying a used home for a similar model would cost me over 380k. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just build a new home?

You talked about buying a newly constructed home as in planned communities where you pick your lot and have customization options such as paint ect... but you didn't discuss buying a lot and hiring a contractor to build your home or owner builder where you act as your own contractor and manage subcontractors. Is it not true that building materials and labor costs will almost always cost less than a home built by huge construction companies to turn a huge profit above what was needed for materials and labor and cheaper than an older home?

I would Built me a house 🏠 it’s better then buy a house because someone had live in that house you trying to live in that may had color that you may not like so I think built a house it’s more better in my opinion
