iPad pro near perfect. Unfortunately it's not running Mac os. I was hoping they finally would make it a hybrid device of sort. When you attach a keyboard it would automatically switch to mac os. Hopefully they will do something like that for the pro line at some point. The hardware is now officially capable of it

It is pretty possible that next gen ipad pro may replace macbook air as a all in one style device with a battery extending keyboard offered as macbook air already lacks any kind of active cooling. Only thing left is full macos support and ipad pro will have additional features such as promotion, pencil, high tier cameras etc. Apple may have a new cheaper macbook air aşmed at students though

Can we stop and appreciate the fact that Apple has put the same chip on a tablet, laptop, mini station and desktop and they will all perform very well!!!!

As someone who has grown up using Android, Windows, I can appreciate developing great tech. I think Apple is smart in moving towards the long game of creating ARM based processor and moving the ipad and MacOS slowly together. Windows failure in ARM was a learning experience for Apple. I think by making a only a few chips M1 that go into everything, it'll make it a lot easier for developers to optimize.

Apple really focusing on professional use of this device. I expect that the iPad Pro will become mandatory in many design related studies. The only thing left is a new Apple pencil.

Apple should now release a Final Cut Pro version for iPad OS, as well as LR, PS… this will be the real game changer on a M1 16GB 1 or 2 TB & thunderbolt iPadPro. Waiting for a unified OS…

Lets hope that they update iPadOS at WWDC to leverage the power. Software has been the biggest handicap in iPads for years, and some better software and support for more "pro" level apps could help this replace laptops
