Eco-village in Goa's jungles!

Meet 65-year-old Panta Ferrao.
Working as a successful lawyer, Ferrao saw how development projects exploited resources. And gave up his job to build an eco-village that respects nature and its rhythm.
The result was ‘Khaama Kethna’, nestled in the forests near Agonda beach.
What exactly does the word Khaama Kethna mean?
And it lives up to its name.
The tree houses and the cottages here are constructed by hand, using bamboo, rice husk and straw.
All the food prepared here is grown at their own organic farm.
Even the furniture is made from recycled scrap.
What’s even more amazing is – the concept of compost toilets, with both the compost & the greywater used to nourish trees.
Ferrao’s eco-village also hosts cultural workshops on meditation, yoga, naturopathy, carpentry, music and much more!
But Ferrao's favourite thing to do has to be to enjoy the sunset in solitude,
in the lap of nature.
As he says, no amount of city luxuries can beat this view.
