This gets tricky. Say they pick 389. So after you tell them what to do they get 389-983 and that equals -594. But when tell them remove the negative if they have one. It kinda gives away part of the trick. -594+495=-99 but removing the negative always get you 1089

I’ve got a couple up my

1. Choose any number BELOW 10
2. Multiply that by 2
3. Add 6
4. Divide it by 2
5. Subtract the number you had at the beginning

ANSWER IS 3 (if not you did the math wrong)

1. Think of a 3 digit number and ALL 3 DIGITS IN THE NUMBER HAVE TO BE THE SAME
2. add up all the digits
3. Divide the original number by the sum of the 3 digits added up

ANSWER IS 37 (if not you did the math wrong)

1. CHOOSE ANY NUMBER IN THE WHOLE WORLD
2. Multiply by 2
3. Add 10
4. Divide by 2
5. Subtract that number from the original number

ANSWER IS 5 (if not you did the math wrong)

All digits should be different in first selection. Then I think works all the time. So stipulate 3 different whole numbers. Great trick. I also tie in by writing a word. Ask them to open to page 108. 9th word. Is their a piece of paper in your bag (or pocket). {hidden previously}. Wow magic. Same word. Gives more effect.

So how do i explain it? Especially when im going to give the paper to my friend? Like im going to guess the answer? Or the magic number will be on this paper?

I did this before. Worked all the time. Then I tried 897. Got 99. But you answered my solution

Here's a really cool number trick that always works.

Take any 3-digit number.
Add 1.
You number will now be a different number.
Trust me, this will work every time!

My number was 789. the trick failed. it only works if the last number is lower than the first of the three numbers.

This _ONLY_ works if the last digit is smaller than the first digit.
Therefore, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, 200, 201, 210, 211, 220, 221, 230, 231, 240, 241, 250, 251, 260, 261, 270, 271, 280, 281, 290, 291, 300, 301, 302, 310, 311, 312, 320, 321, 322, 330, 331, 332, and so on will work.

To prove it, take 574.
574-475 = 99 = 099
099 + 990 = 1089

Why does the third digit need to be smaller? Because if it is bigger, then when the last digit becomes the first digit when reversing, you'd be subtracting a bigger number, leading to a negative.
