The first scene with the wolf is so scary, I love how they made puss bleed there, it makes him look so much more vulnerable and sets actual stakes

Fun fact: I saw it in spanish and it has a whole versión, not only every text Is changed to spanish, stuff like the things he draws in the ground or the tomb are changed to go with the spanish versión, example: the P in the tomb it's changed to G for gato which it's cat in spanish.

It shows the care and love that went into this movie

Edit: :0, thanks for the likes!!!

pusses anxiety attack scene was absolutely amazing. Seeing this animated cat on the ground breathing heavily, it made my heart twist. I cannot stress enough how much EVERYONE needs to see this movie. In my opinion this is the best movie of 2022 and maybe even 2023.

Many people said it is highly unlikely that Dreamworks could make a movie THAT good tackling very serious issues. I had to remind them: This is the same studio that made Kung Fu Panda 2 and Prince of Egypt.

the panic attack scene made me cry. When I saw it and immediately recognized the signs of Puss experiencing a panic attack, the waterworks started straight away. It was the first time I did in a cinema. Making such a beloved childhood comfort character represent anxiety in such an INCREDIBLE (and somewhat innocent) WAY was the emotional release I needed.

I think the part that solidified this movie as good for me was immediately following Puss’s panic attack when he was talking to Perro and Kitty overheard part of it. In most other movies we would see Kitty miss out on part of the conversation and misinterpret the meaning about what they are talking about. But that isn’t what they gave us. They did have her miss an important bit of the conversation yes but what she did hear wasn’t misinterpreted. It showed her that Puss was different and genuinely regretted his past actions. She then used that information to be her better self. I love this movie

Can we just all take a break and talk about how a 62 year old Spaniard delivered a performance with more energy and passion than three quarter of actual Hollywood ever could for a children’s animated movie. This guy is a fucking legend

It really is a PERFECT sequel. Shrek had one, it's only natural for Puss to keep that streak going

Once you realize who the wolf is, that line in the beginning of the movie just hits way harder.

"Everyone thinks they will be the one to defeat me, but no one has escaped me yet."

Jack Horner really surprised me. He wasn’t in any of the trailers I watched so I didn’t expect much and loved him. With all these characters growing and changing, having an unapologetic static asshole was amazing. And god he was really funny. He and death are honestly two of my new favorite dreamworld villains

They handled his anxiety SO WELL. Especially focusing on death anxiety, As someone who struggles with it. when they showed him have an anxiety attack it was so well done.

I love how they didn't plot armor Puss, he straight up just turned tail and RAN FOR HIS LIFE.

And the wolf let him go because the more Puss feared death, the more just Death felt in taking his life as his motivation was Puss was taking advantage of his lives...then wants to wish for 9 more because he wasted the other ones? Oh hell no. lol

light spoilers for the movie!!

death is so well-designed; the way his pupils constrict into tiny pinpricks, with puss reflecting in his red irises, gave me fucking goosebumps dude. and the way the tune he whistles goes from haunting and bone-chilling to familiar and even comforting by the end of the movie, once the conflict is resolved, , beautiful. love this fucking movie so much.

I personally loved the scene where Goldie realises she had the "just right" family all along and embraced Mama bear with tears, it was the scene that made me emotional. Loved the way all the characters stories were portrayed

*SPOILER*

The part of the movie that absolutely won me over, that completely upended literal decades of Dreamworks slapstick comedy ruining heartfelt moments was after Puss escaped his second encounter with Death. He ran and hid in the dying forest of his own imagination, and Perrito found him in the middle of a powerful anxiety attack, the sound of Puss’s racing heartbeat pounding through the theater speakers. Earlier in the movie it was foreshadowed that if Puss needed to feel better, he’d just need to rub Perrito’s belly. It was lighthearted and comedic for that scene, illustrating Perrito’s undying optimism. But it would’ve been so out of place here. I thought ‘oh boy, here it is, the slapstick shenanigans that completely ruin the gravity of a situation. He’s gonna whip out his swollen belly and smother Puss with it, Madagascar 3 style’. BUT NO. I wasn’t prepared for what happened next. What Perrito did was the most profound and heartwarming thing I’ve seen in animation in years. With concern and confusion in his eyes, but desperate to help his friend, he got close to Puss… and laid his head on Puss’s lap. The heartbeat slowed, then calmed and quieted down.

This shook me. My eyes watered up and I silently cried. It was a moment that transcended cinema and found a way into the deepest most personal parts of my life. I too have a pup, and I too have found myself in a graveyard of my own imagination, ridden with anxiety, unable to move. And my pup was there to do *the exact same thing*. This here, this scene RIGHT HERE, sealed the deal. There would be no hijinks or tomfoolery. Even after the stunning fight scenes and amazing character designs, this here let me know I was in the middle of a masterpiece.

This movie had no business treading these waters. But it does it so masterfully, and should be unceasingly praised for having the guts to do so. 10/10

The Wolf (or Death) was my favorite part of this film. The way he is introduced by his whistle and his dark dark aura and color scheme, to his very sarcastic way, yet terrifying way, of saying to Puss *"I am going to take your own life because you don't value yours"* is done exceptionally well. He is definitely one of my favorite DreamWork villains of all time. Literally, every time he was shown on screen I got goosebumps just like Puss, and the way they made him feel Fear and how that it can also fear us humans is just amazing.

The other characters were amazing as well but The Wolf (Death) is the one character that makes this movie so interesting, deep, dark, and meaningful.

They casually showed the best representation of anxiety in a movie and didn’t think we would notice 💀

Saw this movie last night. Easily one of the best Dreamworks movies of all time. Every part of it blew me away. I’m glad you liked it, the theater was EMPTY except me and 4 other people. This movie deserves so much more from the audience.

It's times like this where I am reminded what animation is truly capable of. Disney can keep pushing out generically animated, money grubbing, OK movies, but it's studios like Sony and Dreamworks who are now picking up the slack and delivering brilliantly animated masterpieces that will stand the test of time. I think our time is truly a new renaissance for animation.

Honestly the Wolf's whistle absolutely gave me goosebumps, it was slightly discordant and haunting, and I was trying to catch a tune that was *nearly* there but just wasn't. It was a great way to introduce a character as frightening as death, and the character itself was also amazing.
