1 thru 3 were kind of their own thing...with the arcs, the directors, all being a little different...then 4 happened and it boosted the series into another realm. 5, 6, 7 and 8 will standalone in a different category of awesome. 1996 to 2024...28 yrs, 8 movies. Top Gun, 1986 to 2020...34 yrs, 2 films. TC is the man...one of a kind.

For months I’ve been thinking how TF are they going to write this big ramp into the story, just for a big stunt. I honestly thought they had started to run out of ideas for ‘the big stunt’ of the film, and had to resort to dropping a huge ramp on a deserted mountain in the middle of nowhere just for Cruise to ride his bike off. But I’ve just been amazed how they CGI’d the ramp out for mountain terrain. I even thought for a minute it was real, and that the ramp must had just been there for Cruise to practice, then they let him go for real off the mountain terrain. It’s the kind of thing Cruise would do, but I guess when the CGI in this instance looks that good, why risk it.
