I dont think its as cut and dry as Jan setting the blueprint. Jan is also himself a world class striker and if im not mistaken a champion before MMA. I think people are ignoring that Jan was competing on the feet til the takedowns.

We got to remember that Izzy is a great takedown defender... He has shown that he can fight his way out once he is on the ground too... He can get submissions and just hasn't done so because he chooses to fight his own way and I love Izzys fighting style. I hope he doesn't let the MMA community and announcer's get to his head and get him to change how he fights... He needs to look back at his early run fights where he was so shifty and had such good footwork and evasion movement that he doesn't always have to smash head on with the wrestling.. he shouldn't have to change how he does his best fighting. I get so tired of the MMA community just suffocating athletes to be heavy wrestling, it's so boring, I want to see a ninja fight a ninja or a monster. Not winning by judges points from smothering your opponent where they can't do anything but the winner also doesn't destroy or injure his opponent... That's not the direction MMA should go.... We want wars, style points, crazy moments, psycho moments! Matrix moments, Izzy delivers that and he's very well rounded and we'll skilled so we will see the full range of what he is capable of doing over time here! Plus he's staying active more then most. I love when a fighter is active. Practice makes perfect.

Marvin got dominated on the feet by Adesanya, he took him down twice but didnt do any damage and in the third he didnt do an ounce of damage after the take down and gassed himself out in the process.

This fight is a slight test for Adesanya and if he can show the improvements he has made in takedown defence and anti wrestling he will breeze past the hype job that is Marvin vettori

Jan only won on technicality points... He did No damage to Izzy... None...

They seem to miss the fact that Jan stood with Izzy for 3 rounds before he wrestled him. Not quite sure Marvin could hold back Izzy for that long and tire him out. Jan's power and size prob made Izzy more hestitant to go full force in the striking.
I understand they need to hype up the fights and all (they are employed by the UFC) but I have a hard time seeing Marvin get this done.
