He is 💯 right. The prosperity gospel not only leaves our appetites unchanged, it encourages that we develop even more carnal appetites. I remember being taught to desire things I didn't even desire before, because not desiring those things was limiting God. I loved giving to charities expecting nothing back, but I got taught to expect a return when I gave because not "naming my seed" was sowing in vain and my life could be chaotic and fruitless as God would not know what to do for me. So every offering had to be tied to "get married, a car, a good job, healing, lost relatives, pass an exam, " etc. I wanted soo badly to me spiritually mature and please God, like they said, so I drank the coolaid. Thank God for saving me from that mess after about 12 years, and finally giving me true contentment in Him and his Word.

But didn’t Jesus meet the desires and needs of people? The acts of healing and providing food? Isn’t that what were supposed to tell people as well(because it’s true)? That Jesus can meet their need?

If you’re not a born again Christian then chances are that you’ll be unable to place your right palm on the KJV and say these words once only-> I refuse to be deceived by the devil.

Rev.12:9 The devil deceives the whole world.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you’re left behind after the rapture then get born again & DONT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST!

Piper and those like him preach their own type of prosperity gospel. Follow these rules and gender roles and you will have a successful marriage. If you save yourself for marriage your sex life will be amazing with your spouse. If you submit to your husband he will be a good leader. A lot of these church cultures are toxic and abusive. Empty promises. The quality of your marriage will have a lot more to do with the quality of the spouse you married not what rules they follow. Sex in marriage will be based on the quality of the relationship and whether the individuals are able to love eachother the way their spouse needs. Etc etc etc

He's right. But Word of faith teaching is NOT prosperity teaching. Anyone who has closely followed the teaching & lifestyle of its founder Kenneth E Hagin will know that. No jets, lavish cars, houses ect. When he was criticised, he replied with an encouraging letter & even a donation to thier ministries. Anyway, I've had my say. I'm sure some of you will answer with opposing views that are not researched (concerning Hagin) or will change the subject by presenting a prosperity teacher & then asking me how I can support that doctrine, (which I dont).
