HOW TO: USING NUMBING CREAM FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Today's video is a popular request amongst our clients: how to apply numbing cream before a laser hair removal appointment!

The use of numbing cream is only recommended for small areas, such as scalp, face, underarms and bikini. If you wanted to use on a bigger area, like legs, I recommend applying it only to the areas that are most uncomfortable for you (for example, applying the numbing cream only to the shins).

Thanks for this video! The med spa I’m going to for my scalp laser hair removal wanted to charge me $50 per session to use their own numbing cream before each session but won’t sell me the cream for me to do on my own. I’ve watched many of your videos and they’re very helpful

I wanted to ask your advice regarding the safe application of numbing cream. I’m aware that numbing the entire body can be dangerous, but would it be safe to numb parts of the legs (around the knees), the torso (front and back), full arms, and underarms—while leaving most of the legs and the back untreated?

If this isn’t advisable, could I instead apply the numbing cream in intervals during the session? The full-body laser treatment takes around 90 minutes to complete.

Your expertise is invaluable, and I greatly appreciate your insights. Everyone else seems uncertain about how this works.

When I get to the clinic, do I need to wash the cream with water before the laser or can the laser be applied without washing the cream
