You know, historically, Kursk has always belonged to Ukraine. In fact, the desire of the Kursk people to be a part of Ukraine is very high. A special referendum held there would obviously and overwhelmingly results in joining Ukraine. Ukraine liberating Kursk is really none of Russia's business.

Ukraine is only carrying out a Special Military Operation (SMO). Putin need not be worried about this incursion. Things will revert back to normal soon after a referendum is taken in the Kursk People's Republic.

A German youtuber (Thorsten Heinrich) has suggested that Ukraine is trying to shorten the front line and improve its position. The area could also serve as an exchange for its own territory. That is simply brilliant. I hope it all works out!
