PS4 Pro vs Xbox One S Preview: The Battle Of 4K Consoles Begins

Here is our preview of the PS4 vs Xbox One S. These two console will be going head to head this holiday season. While we have to wait a couple of months for our full review, we can do a preview and talk about some of the features we know of now.

I would've like to have seen a PS4 Pro Slim instead of a PS4 Slim.

I'm leaning towards PS4 Pro purely because of PSVR. But does PSVR require the same amount of wide open space for the sensor like the HTC Vive does?

I just upgraded to the Xbox S and I don't have a HDR TV but I do see slight improvement over the legacy Xbone. Things run smoother and I got a 4K Blu-Ray player

This video was very informative. Im glad you compared these two as they are whats out now ( or close to now for the PS4 Pro) and for people like me finally making the jump to current gen, and getting my hands on a decent 4K HDR TV, I was not sure which way to go. Been on Xbox for 10 years but my jumpship just for the more powerful console. Dont want to wait another year for Scorpio, PS4 might be the way to go. Thanks.

I've been a Xbox user for awhile now, currently running the original 500GB XBone. One thing I've always liked about PS is that you get everything you need out of the box. Rechargeable controllers, Headset, 2.5 MM headset jack built into orig. ps controllers that work with all types of headphones or even Bluetooth headsets. Xbox itemizes all their accessories, therefore, you have to invest even more money into the device to get what already works out of the box for ps4 users. So far I've had to buy a battery kit for the controllers: $30, Decent Headset: $45. Playstation I was able to plug my beats headphones in and game on and controllers have internal batteries. Build quality for orig. Xbox one was horrible down to the console and the controllers, vibration from the controller sounded awful and was overly noisy almost disruptive while playing games. Think I'm going for the PRO, less BS, better specs, more of my friends to play along with on PS network.

3:11 -No, it's not a 4K gaming device lol. It's questionable whether or not the Scorpio at 6TF will be a 4K gaming device, let alone a 4.2 TF system like the PS4 Pro.

enjoyed the review/preview. It's nice to watch a review/preview without all the screaming and crazy acting like the other reviewers. If I had to choose I'd get a PS4 because it's a brand that I trust, but it does lack the ultra bluray player. I personally don't think the ultra bluray player is enough to make me get a XBox though.

why does it say ps4 has 4k hdr gaming no console other than pc can play 4k gaming all ps4 pro can do is resize it to 4k so it fits 4k tv but its not official 4k gaming
