This is so true. I was only a couple days late on my hydro bill and they said I would be disconnected in 48 hours if it wasn't paid in full. Worst thing is, it seems like the computer systems they use control everything they do, which worked for me just recently.
I was told my phone would be reconnected if I paid half of it down immediately, and they would give me till the end of June to pay the rest. When I paid, and called to make the arrangement I was prompted to make an arrangement with the automated lady, which gave me till the end of July. That's what you get for relying on computers to make your choices.
