How to mount a Staghorn fern on to wood (Epiphytic Platycerium ferns)

Staghorn ferns (Platycerium bifurcatum) are true jungle epiphytes that originate from the rainforests of Java, New Ginnea and Australia. Staghorn ferns are often sold in pots, but the Staghorns natural way to grow is horizontally from the anchor of larger tree branches. In this video I saw you how to mount a staghorn fern on to wood so that it can grow just it would in the rainforest. Using twine, sphagnum moss and four nails we can grow and care for a staghorn fern mounted on my living room wall. These popular houseplants can help you make use of your vertical space in both your home a garden.

Great video! Two questions: How do I water a wall mounted plant like this? If it attaches itself to the wood and you have to change it to a bigger piece of wood do you just rip it off or how does that work?
