Well this was unexpected!

It has been officially confirmed that the new Lamborghini flagship will be fitted with a V-12 following a strong tradition of big, V-12 powered Lamborghinis such as the Miura, Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, and of course the Aventador.

It will still be naturally aspirated, however most likely with a lower displacement compared to the current 6.5-liter V-12 in order to reduce emissions and meet regulation standards.

This new big brother Lambo will get a spark to its V-12 since it will be a hybrid powertrain with an electric motor. It’s going to have an all new powertrain that won’t be shared with other Lamborghini mild hybrids such as the limited-production Sián and Countach.

Some of the specs we can expect include a power output of over 800hp, all wheel drive and all wheel steering along with active aerodynamics both front and rear.

We’re expected to see the launch of this new V-12 Lambo sometime in 2023 alongside a facelifted Urus Evo. There will also be a new hybrid baby Lamborghini following the Huracan in 2024 and a fully electric Lamborghini is expected to arrive in 2027.

Current Lambos are, in my opinion, kind of perfect looking. I'm a bit scared about the future. 😅

The rear seems to look nice, but that front...I'm not sure.

People don’t realize that hybrid technology is what will save the combustion engine. If you can reduce emissions by taking some load off the gas engine with an electric one you can still get that V12 sound without being so inefficient.

It's about time. Aventador is already older, than Murcielago was in it's last production year. But, it seems, that no Lamborghini will beat 16 years long production of Countach. Unless, they are going to produce Urus permanently, changing only generations.

Back when the Lamborghini Centenario was launched I had a gut feeling that the next generation model was going to be based on the Centenario and it turns out I was right 😏

When your design language is so strong not even camo can hide your car's looks.

Dealers did see a static 1:1 scale model of the car in Nov and those who saw it were blown away.

*The front is more narrow and shorter. The Aventador was to wide. I like the quad round exhausts on this test vehicle. I hope they keep it like this, its better than dual hexagons.*

The Aventador LP700-4 was the best looking car to ever come out of Lamborghini. When I was a teen, it's the car that got me into cars. 10 years later, it's my ultimate dream car and what motivates me to work for everyday. This replacement has a lot to live up to for me.

It wasn’t a huge surprise at all. The SVJ marks the end of the Aventador life circle and the production is pretty much finished. I think after the remarkable success of the Aventador they had to design a car that was still very close to it and that’s very likable, unlike some of Lamborghinis limited edition cars.

Some rumors say that it's gonna be released by the end of this year with production starting early 2023.

From those new spy shots I believe Lambo will again create an revolutionary design and once again shock all the car fans, a new poster car is coming

the rear diffuser reminds me of a less aggressive centenario

It looks Awesome!
Like a mix between the Sian fkp 37 and the Hurucan (and a little bit of the Terzo Millenio concept)

Lamborghini: We're stopping production of the Aventador
Me: Oh nice we'll get something new that doesn't look like the Aventa-

My expectations were for the design to resemble the Sian, in the same way that limited models like the Reventon and Sesto Elemento were precursors to the Aventador and Huracan.
