I'm just back from a winter forage, and had exactly the same haul - oyster, velvet shank and some wood ear (29th January 2023 - North East Scotland)

Is there anything similar to the velvet shank?
Growing on deadfall, for instance?
I found a bright orange variety of shroom today, Scotland, tightly bunched clumps, with stalks that look like it's been attacked by slugs at first glance, because they're that black-grey colour with no skirt, however, the caps are upside down, on the larger, more matures specimens, so the giills are on top.
I mean it's the spot of these ones in your vid, except for the cap and gills being reversed.
Grateful for any info, thanks.
Great vid, incidentally.
