People that think Ripple is a good idea completely miss the point, they are thinking inside the box. The essence of (decentralized!) blockchain technology is that we can make transactions without banks. That is in fact the very reason Bitcoin was created back in 2009, as a reaction to the banks and the way they f*cked up (remember the banking crisis?) Ripple is a complete sell-out to the banks, maybe it sounds like a good idea for the short term, but in the long run (big) banks will become obsolete or at least the power they hold over us will be greatly diminished. Banking (for the masses) is important, banks (for the privileged) are not. All that banks will be good for in the future is to safely store your hardware wallets and/or private keys! When choosing between the two, Stellar is definitely the way to go, especially considering the current valuation discrepancy. Now Stellar will also work with (smaller) banks, but from a more bottom-up approach, enabling people rather than catering to big powerful banks to keep them in control of the monetary system. Interesting to see how this will develop.

why would any of you at Ripple and Stellar want to help out the banksters? they don't want you, they will eat you and then steal your ideas if it makes them money. and this doesn't seem to make them money because it will slash their remittance fees. so why would they want this? they might just buy this to keep this idea off of the market, do you developers at Ripple and Stellar and this girl talking do you honestly think the banks are in need of a system to reduce the fees for transferring money between countries??? You developers are thinking that the banking system just lacks innovation? they don't, they lack morals. they lack honesty and integrity. and you developers are playing right into their hands. the future is in decentralized public ledgers known as the blockchain, not all of this centralized shit, you Ripple and Stellar types are just slaves to the master bankers. I would never buy into this centralized shit, I don't care how many decentralized public blockchains there are, I wish there were more than just bitcoin, There is also a very large float in the total circulation when it comes to Ripple. Ripple has a nice name that's about it, otherwise it is going to centralized banking hell.which means it's going to disappear. That's why Ripple is trading at 67 cents and Stellar is like 16 cents. Worthless kowtowing centralized pieces of shit.
