Hometown Eugene here, Oregon class of '92. I love how you guys keep it real and respectful, with your deep knowledge of the game. The Buckeyes can be proud of having fans like you. We Oregon fans are used to a disappointing loss at the end of the season, so I'm bracing to feel like Buckeye fans felt after the Michigan game. Good luck, and may the best team win.

Oregon alum here. It's true our defense was lacking vs PSU. There have been a lot of rumblings that flu was working its way through the program, especially the d line. If true, that's worth knowing. On the other hand, our offense has looked unstoppable. We'll learn a lot at the Rose Bowl, _the real Natty this year._ *GO BIG GREEN*

I think it'll be a great re-match. I think the Ohio State defense will be the group that wins this game. Good luck everyone!

Duck fan here. Appreciate the great commentary and the great encounters I’ve had with Ohio State fan base! Was at the game in Eugene. Here are my thoughts speaking to the ducks:

Upside duck factors: Burch back, Whittington at full strength, OC & DC have lots of time in the lab, Lanning loves being an underdog.

Ducks will take everything underneath your two stud safeties, and feed James up the middle. I think Sadiq and Holden will surprise people with their target shares outside the hashes.

Super respect Ohio State and expecting a great game! Curious how the missing OL personnel will affect the game.

I love how Dan Lanning knows that they will target one of his players, so he throws in another factor that they weren’t expecting to mess up their game plan. He recently did that with Kenyon Sediq I think in the Penn State game. He is so smart as a coach! He always throws in another factor, change, or a twist. All things he didn’t do before this year. He is still learning.

Just to clarify with Whittington, he has a season ending injury last year and for the first half of this season did not look as explosive as usual. The second half he’s gotten back to his old self

Either way this will be an epic game. I'm interested to see Ohio states defense this time around. The loss to Oregon is what sparked the changes in Ohio states defensive scheme and game plan. Both teams have gotten better since then. This will be an awesome game! Go Bucks!

Tom and Tony, great show. I enjoy listening to your views. I am an Oregon duck fan living within shouting distance from the campus and stadium. I think each team has strengths and each team has deficiencies. I think that those strengths and deficiencies can vary game by game. The Rose bowl is the premier bowl game in my opinion. I'm really excited about Oregon playing Ohio State one more time. I wish it had been a game later on in the playoff cycle but we have no control on that. I do think that Dan lanning will have the ducks ready to play. They will be rested and they will be healthy. You are going to see plays that you have not seen before. Let's just have a great day on New Year's Day. And after the game toast each team. And say thank you for the fun.

As an Oregon fan I really wanted to know what went wrong defensively especially in the run game. I’m glad they’ve had time to review things and hoping for a great one in Pasadena🦆🦆

I love these analysis for the last several games. Awesome work. Good job gentlemen. Please keep in mind that you cannot extrapolate anything from previous games. You cannot make any linear assumptions for what you will see at the Rose Bowl. Oregon can come out and look like the team that played Washington or they can look lile the team that played Wisconsin. Ohio State can come out and look like the team that played TN or the one that played Michigan. Both teams have the potential to be studs or duds. It will come down to execution that day. Oregon can put up 40 plus on Ohio State and Ohio State can do the same to Oregon. You guys talking like this is the first time they are going to play. Ohio State had the same back and receivers, D line and better O line when they played the first time..Is Ohio State better now? Depends. After the Michigan game three wreks ago you would say no. Absolutely not. After the TN game a week later you would say yes. It will come down to what version of each team we get Jan 1st. Its like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get.

Oregon will come with all of their defensive power this time.

Reffs were not calling holding on either team, allowing gaping holes for both offenses.

Pump and go works when the qb has time to throw. And he had time to throw due to osu's cage rush all game.

as a Buckeye fan, ( over half of a century), I am always pessimistic. It seems to work out better for me. My pessimistic gut tells me that a lot of the media buzz about the Buckeyes is coming off a home win against a vastly over-rated Tennessee team. First of all, Tennessee did not have a very strong schedule. Secondly, they come from the SEC and the "pundits" always over-rate the second tier SEC teams. On top of that, the Vols lost some of their offensive studs early, so they were under-manned. Are the Buckeyes good? Yes. Are they invincible? No. Can they beat Oregon? Yes. Is it a foregone conclusion? No. I would feel better if we had a guy who could kick a FG longer than 40 years. It could well come down to that.
