Fruit does not get washed in the store. It comes pre packaged. I would substitute the mayo for plain greek yogurt or sour cream. As long as momma likes it is all that matters. You're so precious 😊

I worked in produce for over 5 years...wash EVERYTHING. The produce department does not wash anything, unless it's for fresh cut. Even then...some employees are nasty and don't properly wash it.

Wash the fruit and vegetables ALWAYS! You can get very sick from not washing it. Matter of fact people have gotten listeria and other bacteria infections recently across the USA and some have died. Fruit flies lay eggs that we can't see in the fruit also. So please wash it. Also mayo is not what you're supposed to put in fruit salad it's supposed to be cool whip. Although it's your kitchen your choice . Greek yogurt also is a good substitute instead of using mayo. I say this all with love! ❤
