The mom, Julieta, has a second secret superpower - she doesn't die like most Disney Moms. :D Also, the way Dolores delivered, "Oh, she didn't get one, " pretty much shows that not having a gift is actually not important to her when it comes to Mirabel - she's her cousin no matter what.

Please react to "Surface Pressure", "What else can I do?" and "Dos Oruguitas" (this one is in Spanish, it means "two caterpillars"), also from the movie "Encanto". You guys will love it! Also, you two are SO CUTE!!! 🥺

Okay but can you imagine? FORGET A PREGNANCY TEST! Abuela's name is Alma. But her door says abuela. Can you imagine her door saying her name for years and then one day she just walks out her room to see her name on the door has changed from Alma to Abuela. Oh my heart

don't know if it's been mentioned before, but most, if not all of this, was done via zoom calls and online meetings due to covid. they didn't even have face to face feedback or anything, it was all done online. and some of them never did voice acting before, like jessica darrow, voice of luisa, both speaking and singing voice by the way. jessica got to audition for the part literally before it shut down to covid. the voice of dolores, the soft spoken hears everything one, she auditioned and it went to the spam box and she didn't know. they all sang as themselves with no special singers to come in and sing in place of them. they didn't meet face to face until recently. so for them to nail this so well via zoom calls and all that....perfection

Disney keeps going in our minds and crossing out our thoughts it’s so cool how they make this! I also recommend reacting to surface pressure! It’s so good the beats and the end of the sentences the power in her voice you have to check it out TOMMOROW if you do I’ll sub in my other accounts!

Love your reaction! If you get the chance listen to it with headsets ( preferably over the ear headsets) do so, because then you can actually hear how the voices and the music pan between your two ears. So if a character is on the right side of the screen you'll actually hear it in your right ear and as they move across the screen their voice will pan until it's in your left ear. They also have a really great thing where it's brought into the foreground and background more and you can hear that definitely with "We Don't Talk About Bruno, " so if you want to give it a listen, just in your spare time, with headphones, you can definitely hear that; especially during the whole point/ counterpoint, call/response part with the entire family singing their individual pieces around the table. You can hear how they move from the background into the foreground, across one side to the other and it is fantastic!

The fact that Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the songs is of course why has that very musical appeal to it- like a live stage production. Also explains why the vocals are very dry and clear without too much reverb or autotune. Now you do get some reverb in "Surface Pressure" and in "What Else Can I Do, " but it's at very key points to highlight the chorus :)

Definitely see the entire movie, but also please react to the songs because they are each fantastic! Obviously I'm going to suggest what other people have adjusted that you react to: "Surface Pressure, " (which is the middle sister, Louia's song, and Sonny and a beautiful alto voice by Jessica Darrow), "What Else Can I Do, " which is the eldest sister Isabella's song, and "Waiting on a Miracle, " song by the youngest sister, and protagonist, Maribel.

And then if you want to just ball your eyes out listen to "Dos Oruguitas, " but until you see the movie don't react to the full clip because it will have a huge spoiler in there, just react to the lyric video. The music is so beautiful and lovely and heartfelt. And of course give "Columbia, Mi Encanto" a listen as well, as it kind of bookends the movie. It's actually the first song that you hear in the movie and then the final song and it's wonderful! It's been described as Lin-Manuel Miranda's love letter to Colombia.

Oh and "All of Me", really fantastic finale song! It has a lot of callbacks to the other songs and other key points in the movie It's definitely the listen!
