She’s oddly underrated yet very effective compared to most mages! Altho she isn’t like very ranged like most mages, she’s such a pain to deal with if ur laning against her as any melee or short ranged hero. Deals massive dmg, has an escape + heal skill that resets her stacks and very mobile for a mage. Definitely a solid mage if played right! _Unless ur facing a team full of assassins that can quickly take you out or marksmen that outrange your skills_

As a global glory Lylia I can say this is a great tutorial, but I'd like to add some points at combos and laning. Most of Lylias waste all shadow energys in the first minute trying to get the first blood on the enemy mid laner;
This may work if you're mythic V, but if you are a little bit higher you're gonna waste all your balls without killing anyone, simply because any good player knows how to avoid getting killed. When the enemy is hard to catch because of how they move or predict you, instead of spamming 2nd skill recklessly, just use second skill one time, make it blow and before throwing another 2nd, cast 1st on the enemy - you're gonna slow him down - and then use 2nd skill: this way you're gonna hit him for sure. If the enemy mid laner is weaker than you (for example a 1v1 Lylia vs Cecilion in lane), instead of chasing him without getting any kill, just zone him out from the minion wave.


For what concerns the emblem set up and the build: magic shop is the best imo and the build used by you is good. Mine is practically the same: cd boots, talisman, antiheal most of the time, ice queen, genius wand and last item depends on the situation. Most of the time I build holy crystal and sell shoes to build queen's wings, just because I'm recklessly confident on my position during the teamfight, but if you ain't as mad as me just go for a defence item or for double penetration and everything is gonna be fine.

I still remember Lylia would get five charges immediately after the first respawn. She used to dominate in slowing the enemy from getting a buff. However, she was nerfed a few seasons ago.

As a lylia main, I also recommend aegis as a substitute for purify! I often use aegis to absorb damage when cc-ed so u can survive then use ur ult after. Good for countering heroes with both cc and burst damage like eudora, aurora, guinevere, kagura., etc. Also good when ambushed because stacking ur 2nd skill may take time and u actually want to use ur ult when u reached the max stack so using aegis will absorb damage as u stack ur 2nd skill.

If you aim lylia's first skill to second skill, she gets more speed and hard to kill because she has ultimate to restore her hp.

and by the way, I am senior no.3 lylia here in our city. Hope you try lylia because she is powerfull early to late game

Wow! Lylia main here. We were just talking about Lylia in the comment section from your last video hehehe. Cause many were surprise that she has 7 points difficulty.

I also use flicker and purify spell on her. Purify when there are many enemies with cc. Flicker for escape and useful when I need to reposition. She's a very good hero to harass the enemy early game. That's why I also like using her in gold lane because she can really give the opponents especially MMs a headache due her slow and damage. Sometimes, I play aggressively when there is like one enemy in the tower and the other enemies are present far in the map. I tower dive the enemy 😂 (detonate 2nd - flicker in - spam 2nd - ulti out). But this is not applicable all the time especially if the enemy you're trying to kill has cc or has immo/winter truncheon/high HP. Also in higher rank many enemies can outplay you so you have to be careful and dont be over aggressive cause you're squishy.

Tip for catching moving targets: use 1-2 combo instead of the usual 2-1 since they can easily run away when you cast the 2nd first. But 1-2 combo needs to be tapped quickly to be effective.

If your fingers are fast enough, you can try using 1st skill first and then placing 2nd skill before it disappears. That way the enemy gets slowed down twice by both skills and deals extra damage cause of the immediate explosion. You can often get first blood if you position and time it right during the literal first minute of the game.

Lylia will always be one of the top 5 mages, for me. She's so powerful yet underrated.
And that is why we need more Lylia skins😭

Tip for explosion. Just keep on tapping her skill 2 if your are facing heroes without dash skills or if they have used their dash. They will die in almost an instant. You will also be able to use her explosion at higher speeds if your just spam without aiming then when you finished all 5 (or 6 if you have 40-45% cd reduction), you can just time to use ult again so you can keep spamming her explosions. 10-12 explosions total and it can surely kill even a tank.

Did you know she can absorb the 2nd skill of eudora and she can also escape from aldous, and also her ultimate is like beneddeta's immunity.. i bet you some players didnt know that.

Another tip is that her 2nd skill works like a ward so if u put one in bushes it'll give u and your team a vision, so i'd recommend to put those wards while taking objectives, just keep an eye of your distance since walking too far away from it will cause the ward to disappear.

another counter for lylia and other close range mages like valentina and faramis is longer range. without a setup from a tank or setting up an ambush, she can be outzoned or outpoked, making her ult less useful at activation

As a lylia main, in the late game building immortality is a must and if your about to die I recommend you to try your very best use your ult first rather than relying on the immortality. Because if you rely on the immortality the black shoes will reset to the time that you resurrected, meaning by the time that you use your ult when you try to gain your hp back there's only 15-20% left on your current hp since the black shoes has been reset. Most of the time my battles spell is purify to protect my KDA in the game but if you're really confident that your enemy is just a pawn to you I recommend flameshot. Also lylia is good at chasing enemies, turret dive is a normal thing if you're a lylia main if your purify and ult is available turret diving is an easy thing. Lastly if chasing is a thing for lylia escaping using her passive is also a great way to escape. There's many more tips and trick using lylia try to master this hero and dash heroes like lancelot won't bother you anymore.
