Osiris is really cocky considering this is basically a test to find out if the new shields can take the Asgard weapons. Imagine if Thor showed up with those laser that could destroy Ori ships.

Anubis really lowered the odds for earth, destroying the Tollans, almost completely destroying the Tok'Ra, ruining the Asgard treaty and making almost invisible troops, he did more in 3 seasons than all the Goa'uld ever did.

Is it bad that I like the Bilskinir-class more than the O’Neill? There’s just something so very Norse which presents a nice contrast to the Egyptian aesthetic that the Goa’uld are going for.

Anubis upgraded his Shields using Ancient technology. One of his Ha'Taks even survived several direct hits from a Tollan Ion cannon.

Osiris was probably the First Goa'uld who managed to Defeat The Asgard in a Straight fight, he didn't even lose a ship.

This makes no sense. Irrespective of the Goauld getting new shields it’s unlikely they received weapons capable of penetrating Asguard shields. Likely the two would have fired at each other for a long time with nothing happening.

This is actually a really wierd move from Osiris, or I guess Anubis who's behind it. The Goa'uld spent 10.000 years being technologically inferior to the Asgard, yet they think just upgrading shields and weapons once will be enough to catch up to them? Clearly the Asgard, being so technologically superior, would be in a position to make something new and more advanced to counter the Goa'ulds new ships.
