The Dolomites are now my favourite spot in the world. These mountains were so beautiful, the hiking was the definition of epic, I didn't want to leave.
We hiked a short version of the Alta Via 1, starting in Lago di Braies and ending in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The route was steep, 6-8 hours of hiking every day, and all the views were spectacular.
