John Lennon whipped up this song on order. They needed another upbeat song for the concert scene in A Hard Day's Night and he just cranked it out.

It never ceases to amaze me how much I love the Beatles.

And the fill that Ringo plays at the end of the bridge is surprisingly difficult to execute, yet it rarely gets mentioned. It's triplets, played simultaneously with both hands. (Left hand on the snare and the right hand from hi tom to low tom). I've brought that to the attention of many (advanced professional) drummers and few of them can play it. Drummers are often shocked that Ringo had such impressive chops.

Tell Me Why and Please Mr. Postman were my Favorites because of their amazing Harmonies!!! To this Day, I never tire of hearing them!!! ❤

i think john's greatest snd ultimate made to order song was A Hard days' Night which he wrote overnight as the lacking needed title song of the movie. uncanny

It's really too bad it was never performed Live! one of my favorites, it would have been great on there Rubber Soul Tour set list. I feel that way with a lot of other songs that didn't get the Live treatment like "In My Life", but can't blame 100% as stage technology was pretty limited back then 😅.

It does sound different when you watch the film. But either way, it’s a great song.

And only in Canada did a hard day's night movie soundtrack come with George Martin's instrumentals of the songs

Are you saying that all of the songs in the movie are slower and lower?

sounds like the writers of the "happy days" theme song took inspiration from tell me why😊

Good morning! *snicker*...I trust all is well with you in music land.
Can you imagine what would have happened if, in the opening sequence of " Hard Days Night, " if George broke his wrist when he fell? Or worse mangled his fingers? The History of the Beatles would just be a tad different. Thanks as always.
