Показать описание

1. In this video we’ll change the combination on a Kaba Simplex 1000 lock.
2. Before you start this procedure make sure the door is open.
3. On models with the passage feature, make sure the passage feature is disengaged. The turn knob or key should be in the vertical position.
4. When selecting a combination, one button or all five can be used, but each button can only be used once. You can depress two or more buttons simultaneously as a step in the combination. Kaba recommends at least 3 digits in the combination.
5. Insert the DF-59 control key into the combination change plug assembly and unscrew the cylinder by turning the key counterclockwise.
6. Remove the combination change plug to gain access to the combination change sleeve.
7. Turn the outside handle once to the stop position then release. The latch should not retract.
8. Enter the existing combination. If this is a new installation, use the factory-set combination by depressing 2 and 4 simultaneously and then release, then press 3 and release. You should feel a slight click as each button is depressed.
9. Insert the spanner wrench to engage the combination change sleeve.
10. Gently turn the spanner wrench clockwise to the stop position. You should feel a slight click.
11. Turn the spanner wrench counterclockwise to the stop position and then remove it.
12. Turn the outside handle once to the stop position then release. The latch should not retract.
13. You’re now ready to enter the new combination. Remember to depress the buttons carefully. A slight click should be felt as each button is depressed.
14. Turn the outside handle all the way, until it stops. Hold it in position and make sure the latch is fully retracted.
15. Release the handle.
16. Now, turn the handle again to the stop position. At this point, the latch should not retract unless you enter the new combination.
17. Re-secure the combination change plug assembly by turning it clockwise with the DF-59 key. Do not over tighten.
18. Remove the key and store it in a secure area with the spanner wrench.
19. The combination has now been changed. Always test the new combination with the door open. Once you have confirmed the new combination, the process is complete.
