Imagine: Kevin McCallister is now adult, married and with children. His businnes in antithefts is going well and he decides to take a vacation with his family, but a last minute emergency makes him stay at home, while his wife and children depart with Kevin's family. However, the day of departure Kevin's youngest children doesn't wake up in time and stays at home with his father. Harry and Marv, now old, but still poor and homeless, want at least make their last robbery, with the help of Marv's son, a robber as well (until then, the three of them pretended to be two beggars and their social assistant), and their paths still cross with Kevin. Kevin and his child will make the three thieves' life a true nightmare with their home traps...

Here's my idea for a Home Alone sequel:
Kevin's brother Jeff and his wife, who now live in the original McCallister house, are going on a business trip over Christmas so Kevin comes over to babysit their son. We see lots of callbacks to the first movie, such as Kevin's room on the third floor and Kevin using aftershave. Then some bad guys attack their house and Kevin has to show his nephew how it's done. Finally the parents return on Christmas Morning and Kevin's nephew asks if Kevin can come to stay every Christmas.
