Unfortunately, the use of these three terms can vary quite a bit depending on the company and even the industry where you find the term. As a result, there can be quite a bit of confusion on what exactly we are talking about.

Cybersecurity is covered/ under information security I believe since information can be in any form. Information can be written down on paper and place in the drawer. Cybersecurity is only information via internet. My thoughts

Hi Jon, I'm new here. Always wanted to do something in the technology field and going to be starting a degree program at WGU. I'm thinking of doing the Cyber Sec degree...but I also like the software side of the field where you can design programs and things of that nature. I guess i'm slight torn between the two. Though the Cyber Sec and Information degree does come with more certs attached in the course so not sure if that degree would benefit me more in my career. Great Video will be looking at more of your content :)

Another GREAT video, as usual. I have a decade of 'physical security's i.e. Security Officer Supervisor. And would like your valuable option on starting a career in Cybersecurity. I have very basic computer knowledge. And plan on going to a local community college for Computer Information with a Cybersecurity track in January 2021. I applied for a big 4 grad program under the software engineering stream but they ended up putting me in technology assurance. I accepted the offer but I'm wondering if all those hard work learning programming is going to waste.
