29.600 Mhz is the 10M Frank Mary simplex call frequency
29.200 / 400 is the Ol Ancient Mary call frequency ....
Many Moons ago the Miami Flamingo Radio Club used to Rag Chew on 29.400 AM ....why ? well because one of the elders worked at the American Airlines Radio Shop MIA and well that was the Crystal that was acquired for the Radio Club...

That super. 10 meter FM like that. can go in and out. lately buy me dead the past few weeks . you can even get some 10 meter repeater's DX as well. one buy me in Boston NY. Park to park is fun ! my bucket list is 6 meters contact from a park or campsite. you could even do a AM contact when band is open. 73's

I was doing the ARRL DX contest last week in the single band 10m category and was missing the multiplier for South Dakota. There was someone activating a park on 10m FM so I gave him a shout, was shocked when it worked. FM sounded really good.

Just think! With increasing sunspot activity, and the potential for cross-country FM QSOs, this years Field Day (3rd Weekend in June) may find the most fun of any band on 10 METERS !!
Hey, should we pass this YouTube along to the CBers (some of whom are us hams, of course)? CB just got FM mode and available rigs less than a year ago. It provides unexplored territory—in the US. Our European friends have played with FM for quite a while.

Pretty cool! I made a 2m SSB contact from SW Oklahoma to Toledo bend lake in Louisiana. I think the grid to grid was almost 400 miles. I've also made multiple 2m SSB on FT8 from SW OK to VA and some other east coast states. Tropospheric ducting was really working that day.
